Warriors House of Hope"
TMAAP partners with Pace Contruction to advocate for veterans needing housing and support after participating in a substance abuse treatment program. Therapeutic housing is a basic need for those new in recovery. Many minority veterans are not likely to seek treatment resulting in spiraling addiction. Many were in attendance at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 6 for the 16 Units on 52nd Street. Construction is underway and will impact homeless veterans in our country. The program promotes independent sober living in a therapeutic community. It is designed to mentor, teach life and job skills while assisting in connecting those new in recovery to available community resources. The first homes are scheduled to open later this year.
